John Cintosun’s journey in law is one of international experiences and a profound dedication to justice. Originally from Australia, John immigrated to Canada at a young age, where he pursued his academic passions in Political Science and Philosophy at York University. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended Osgoode Hall Law School, one of Canada’s top legal institutions, known for producing highly skilled and ethical lawyers.
John completed his articles at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, where he gained invaluable experience providing legal opinions, conducting trials, and representing the Ministry in Highway Traffic Act cases. His hands-on work in this role fostered a deep understanding of the judicial system, trial processes, and the complexities of public and administrative law. This foundation paved the way for a successful legal career that would take him from Ontario to California, where he expanded his credentials by passing the California Bar Exam in 2015.
After returning to Toronto, John established a law practice focused on refugee law and civil litigation. Since then, he has become a trusted advocate, appearing before the Federal Court, Superior Court, Divisional Court, Provincial Offences Court, and numerous administrative tribunals.
